About the Painkiller
I found a passion - I found a pulse
Shared with a few on an impulse
My first song created post injury
Did meet with some cur-ios-ity
I let a few listen to the song
the few got stuck on the chosen one
Music is often lyrical expressions
Full of analogies; hidden impressions
So I put it away for another day
With music I relate; so I create
And if I may sound like a child
It tames the spirit running wild
. . . . .
When my neck took a crush
and I couldn't say much
Whatever Id say came out the wrong way...
Put on the spot; Id improv a lot
With lyrics instead I had in my head
Brothers and sisters looked out for me
Kept playing music to connect with me
Twenty-four seven; higher than heaven
Hip hop and rap - love and all that
The music kept going; loud, strong & flowing
Got through to me & influenced me
Former friends, significant others
Sisters and brothers, Kool kids and mothers
The love that you gave; a family made
The love that you showed; helped me to grow
I had to leave - maybe to greave
I found my passions, hope and compassion
What leaves you cold turns into bold
Does make you better, stronger, forever ...
I encountered a beautiful stream
Here is my Painkiller dream...
